"American Idiot" is the first song from the album of the same name. It is one the most famous and influential songs of Green Day's career, and since its release the band has played it live at almost every tour. The song effectively revived their career into the mainstream.
Released in 2004, "American Idiot" peaked at #61 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Green Day's first chart entry.
