Frank Edwin Wright III (born December 9, 1972), better known by his stage name Tre Cool, is a German-American musician, singer, and songwriter, best known as the current drummer of Green Day. He replaced the band's original drummer, Al Sobrante, in 1990.

Personal life[edit | edit source]

Tré married his long time girlfriend Lisea Lyons (a photographer) in March 1995 and had a child, Ramona Isabelle. They divorced sometime afterwards. In May 2000, he married again to a woman named Claudia. They later divorced in 2003. They had one son together, Frankito ("Little Frank"), born in 2001. Tre married Sara Rose Lipert in October 2014.[1] They have a baby named Mickey.
