Reto Peter is a Swiss audio engineer, musician, and record producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to operating his own production house in Oakland[3], he is known for his work with such bands as Green Day, Counting Crows, Flipsyde, and Modest Mouse.
In 2004, Reto worked as an additional engineer on Green Day's American Idiot, winning him a TEC Award for Technical Excellence.
He is also believed to be Captain Underpants, the keytarist of Green Day's supposed side project, the Network.
